Do you know about the Hammonds Farm proposal?

The Chelmsford City Council has now published its local plan to 2035, outlining proposals to build 3,000 houses at the greenfield site of Hammonds Farm (west of Little Baddow and Danbury) – alongside other developments in nearby villages. A consultation will run until 19 June so there is still time to put in your objections if you wish. A coalition of parish councillors from Boreham, Little Baddow, Danbury and Sandon are working together to oppose the Hammonds proposal. Meetings have been arranged to inform the public about the issues involved. There are cogent arguments against it, not least its impact on congestion on the A414 and A12 and many rural roads but also that it is unnecessary in terms of housing targets.
